Whether you’re looking to apply or just looking for information about the University, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is a great resource for potential students and parents alike. The Undergraduate Admissions website has a wealth of information for answering questions any potential student may have. This includes everything from background history to financial aid to campus tours. When in doubt, the Admissions website has it all, but if by chance they don’t have what you’re looking for, the staff at Campus Information is always happy to help.
Before meal plans, financial aid, or mini fridge buying, interested students must submit an application. Applications are available to incoming freshman, transfer students, international students, and other applicants. Rather than applying to U-M in general, applicants will apply to one of seven schools within U-M: LSA, Engineering, Music, Theatre, and Dance, Art and Design, Architecture and Urban Planning, Nursing, and Kinesiology. Regardless of which school to which a prospective student applies, every potential student uses the online Common Application (Common App) in order to apply as an undergraduate. Check out the Admissions site for more undergraduate application information.
Before committing or even applying, many students and parents choose to visit campus. Although we currently are not offering official tours due to Covid19, students and their families can explore campus on their own or access virtual resources, including a virtual tour, through the Undergraduate Admissions website.
One of the most stressful parts of college can be finding the right major or minor to suit your interests. The Undergraduate Admissions website has resources to help you do just that. They break down every school, major, and minor within the university to make it easier for students to find exactly what they need. They also supply information for studying or interning abroad and how to get involved in research.
Campus finance information such as cost of attendance and financial aid information can be easily accessed through the Admissions website. Admissions and financial aid counselors are on hand to answer any questions about costs and funding.
